Blogcamp CEE 2008 is a three-day conference in Kyiv, Ukraine on Oct. 17-19th, which is going to gather 500 new media specialists, bloggers, start-upers and investors from Central and Eastern Europe. Those interested in CEE region are also welcome.
This year Blogcamp is organized for the second time. Blogcamp 2007 was the very first barcamp in Easten Europe, focusing on post-USSR countries. (The word 'barcamp' means recently popular in IT (un)conference format, enabling every participant to deliver a presentation. For more information see barcamp in wikipedia). Blogcamp 2007 trigged a trend of barcamps around Eastern Europe and Central Asia: a dozen of events were organized this year on the territory from Latvia to Kyrgyzstan.
In true barcamp spirit, conference is free and in many aspects organized themselves by its participants . The first day, Friday, Oct. 17th is aimed to provide understanding of the event and CEE markets. The second day, Saturday, Oct. 18th is a barcamp day. The third day, Sunday, Oct. 19th is Investors Day, but some other events will be organized on the third day as well. For more details see blogcamp schedule.
