The Board of Directors of the National Credit Union Administration (âNCUAâ) together September 27, 2021, as a deadline for comments on the existing and potential impact on federally insured credit unions, related entities and NCUA resulting from activities related to digital assets and related technologies. The notice and request for comment were published in the Federal Register.
As previously reported, the NCUA has prompted market participants to consider 26 questions regarding:
- the use of digital assets in the market,
- operations,
- risk and compliance management,
- surveillance, and
- share assurance and resolve.
