Louis girls learn to manage their money!

St Louis students have had a very proactive relationship with Dundalk Credit Union in recent months.

he credit union sponsored SZE Stories in their quest to publish a children’s book on bullying.

The St. Louis students then proudly represented Louth at the recent National Finals.

Sarah Dunne, a transition year student, won the Rotary Club writing competition in April, sponsored by Dundalk Credit Union.

More recently, it is the turn of first year business students to be helped.

In addition to this, the girls participated in the new “Clued-in” program with Dundalk Credit Union.

This is a program designed as a guide to personal finance and credit unions.

The students, accompanied by their teacher and principal of the year, Ms. Siobhán Higgins, participated in two workshops with Ms. Lena Shaw and found out what kind of spender / saver they were.

“Fortunately for all they discovered, all of them are exceptional savers! “It’s a great program for young students,” said Ms. Higgins.

“The girls learned about financial responsibility in the nicest way.

She added: ‘We have a long and happy relationship with Dundalk Credit Union who visit TY classes every year.

“It was a new venture and we look forward to participating again in the future.
