DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – Delhi Township Police are asking for help in identifying a man and woman who used a stolen credit card to buy $1,000 in gift cards from Kroger.
On July 15, the two suspects stole a handbag from a grocery cart at the Delhi Township Kroger, according to police.
The man and woman used a credit card inside the purse at an Oakley-area Kroger and bought $1,000 worth of cards, Delhi police said. The suspects also used the credit card to make purchases at another business.
Delhi Township Police Lt. Joe Macaluso said it was not a crime of opportunity.
“There are times when things are opportunistic, and I don’t believe that’s the case, other than the opportunity to steal it, but I believe the intent was there all along,” the lieutenant explained. Macaluso.
Police said the two men left the store in a white work van.
Call the Delhi Township Police Department at 513-922-0060 or Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040 if you recognize the two suspects.
