VOXI launches new tariff to help job seekers affected by containment

The VOXI mobile network aims to help people who lost their jobs during confinement to stay in touch with their loved ones. Its fantastic £ 10 per month offer includes unlimited data as well as calls and texts for up to 6 months.

And because VOXI is owned by Vodafone, you will be able to benefit from Vodafone’s extensive coverage and fast speeds. You’ll even be able to use 5G internet at no additional cost, as long as you have access to 5G coverage and a 5G-enabled device.

This offer normally costs £ 35 per month, meaning anyone currently looking for a job can get a whopping 70% discount off this rate.

Anyone applying for Jobseeker’s Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, or Universal Employment-Based Credit is eligible to subscribe to the plan. Best of all, like all VOXI plans, there is no credit check and you don’t have to sign a contract.

To register, you will need proof that you are currently receiving job search benefits. So, VOXI said you will need to upload either an image of your universal credit statement or a letter from the Department of Work and Pensions.

In a statement, Vodafone CEO Nick Jeffery said, “We want to bring financial help to those who need it most during these incredibly difficult times. And we want to make sure these people stay connected, because we know how vital it is – vital for finding new employment and vital for good mental health.

“If you can’t afford your current plan, or if you know someone who is struggling, we can help. “

The news adds to Vodafone’s efforts to reward NHS workers on its network with unlimited data. This previously offered benefit has been extended until January 31, 2021.

Rehan Ali, Mobile Expert at Uswitch.com, said: “With this deal, Voxi has shown its credentials as championing consumers, helping people who have been left out of work due to the pandemic. And by offering an unlimited data plan for £ 10 per month, they’re really an outlier in terms of value.

“However, there are a few things to check before you step up a gear and leave your current provider. First of all, it helps to verify that you are currently out of contract, because if you are not, you may need to pay a fee to exit your existing contract sooner. It is also very important that you check the signal strength where you will be using your phone whenever you change networks. You can do this by visiting your new provider’s network coverage maps and entering your zip code. And don’t forget to check the inside and outside coverage, as they may differ.

“If you have done all of the checks and are satisfied that this agreement meets your requirements, you can use the Change Department text to start the change process. Finally, it’s worth noting that after the six-month period the deal will revert to the standard 6GB per month data deal, so set yourself a reminder to consider your options closer to the time.

For those who wish to claim the offer, they should head to VOXI website.
